Dude, I only want to export “Dumpster” in New-MailboxExportRequest

To export the only “Dumpster” items in mailbox in exchange 2010 SP2/SP3. you can use below cmdlet.

Export CMDLet :
[PS] C:\>New-MailboxExportRequest -Mailbox AliasMBX -FilePath \\anil04\Share\Dumpster.pst -IncludeFolder “#Recoverable Items/Deletions#”

To see the export status :

[PS] C:\>Get-MailboxExportRequest -Identity AliasMBX\MailboxExport

To Import item into Dumpster back :

[PS] C:\new-mailboximportrequest -mailbox AliasMBX -filepath \\anil04\Share\Dumpster.pst -IncludeFolder “#Recoverable Items/Deletions#” -TargetRootFolder  “Dumpster”

Confused With Update Process of Lync 2013 CU2 – July13 ???

Recently, We have updated our lync 2013 environment with CU2 and then I came to conclusion that the process is not straight forward as Exchange Server CU and RU 🙂

It can be annoying to lync customers those do not have strong hand on experience to install CU’s. I found few good post and KB article which would help other’s for hassle-free installation. Refer below for more details.

Besides undisclosed bug fixes, this CU contains the following major changes:

  • CU2 increases the maximum number of supported databases per server from 50 to 100 in the Enterprise Edition;
  • Enables silent redirection for Outlook Web App (OWA) to 1) Exchange 2007 CAS servers when the mailbox is hosted on a Exchange 2007 mailbox server configured with a ExternalURL or 2) Exchange 2013 in a different site when a different ExternalURL is configured (e.g. alternative internet-facing site);
  • Introduces the DAG Management Service which will offload monitoring and reporting from the Replication Service;
  • Shifting several responders from per-server throttling to per-group throttling;
  • Support for updating local help files using the cmdlet Update-ExchangeHelp;
  • Improvements in OWA Search to indicate search hit locations;
  • Introduction of *-MalwareFilterRule Cmdlets to apply custom malware policies to users, groups or domains.
